This is my first attempt at designing a Transformer toy model that is both

game-ready and mechanically designed so that it can be built as a real

physical object.  I've wanted to do this since forever, so here goes. 

 

The following AO render of the wheel is the end of day 1.  The Occulsion for the tire treads is coming entirely from the baked normal map. 

The tread grooves are beveled curves that were projection baked onto the tire to create the normal map.

Day 2, Dec 22, 2016.  Added a bit of mechanical detail, began roughing out

the paint material for the fairing. 

(In case you didn't know, 'fairing' is the racing motorcycle word that is analogous to 'car-body')
